Can the standard license be used for multiple variations of the same character in one project?

Hi everyone,

I’m seeking clarification on the use of Standard and Extended Licenses. I understand that an Extended License allows for using the same character across multiple different projects. However, I’m unsure about the specifics of the Standard License.

Is it permissible to use multiple variations of the same character within one project under the Standard License?

Thank you!

Hi...

With the Standard license you can apply a CC Component such as hair or clothing items to one character only. So for example, if you purchase a hairstyle from the Content Store with the Standard Licence, you can apply that hair to one character only. To use that hairstyle on more than one character, or even variations of the original character, then you would need to purchase the Extended License for that hairstyle.

Please Note: This applies to CC Component content purchased from the Content Store or Marketplace. The embedded content that comes with CC4  does not require an Extended License and can be used on multiple characters.
