Hi all, Last week I stumbled upon this feature which allows for some pretty nifty visual tricks in Iclone.  Not sure when it was implemented.  I see a page in the manual and one post from 3 months back where a forum member mentions it but nothing in the various release notes.

My favorite part of this feature is it gives me the ability to make a character's shadow "come alive".  This was something I was thinking about back in IC5 but couldn't figure how to make one character look normal and the other be a shadow.  Now it's easy peasy.  Anywho, if you've never used the "Exclude Effect" feature take a look.

Wow, I've been staring at that every time I opened Modify from menu, but for whatever reason never bothered to open.
And I do not think it was in the list of features when they announced IC8.
Thanks for bringing this up. Very neat features.

Trees are not included to the list of objects which is unfortunate.
It would have added some sorts of external control over excessive texture brightness under most common lights in the scene.
Back to adding spot shadows for each tree to get brightness under control :Whistling:

Just a quick note.
The toon shader actually has lighting options and is also effected buy the IBL image intensity as well as the
tone mapping and additional filters under the post effects panel even back in old Iclone 7.

This clip is pure iclone 7 except for the Neon frame effect and the text that was comped in Davinci fusion.
