... Does it make sense to buy popcornfx currently ?
In another thread i read that only fx editor 1.x will work with the plugin, what will we do with the current 2.x edior ?
Is there a workaround to import particles ?

For the moment version 2 of the editor is incompatible with Iclone and it is impossible to import particles from version 2.

Will 1.12 come with the RL purchase ?
Can 1.12 can connect to the particlefx webpage database and use effects like 2.x does ?
I am abit concerned about this may not work.

Hello, K_Digital use this version of the editor.
This version can connect to the database but you will not be able to use version V2 effects.
This is the version I use to create effects I am currently uploading free effects to the marketplace and I will be selling them as well. I am also in the process of creating a new shader system for CC4 Characters and their clothing to be used in Iclone 8, I hope this helps.

How does someone create free .iparticle effects , does this require the iclone plugin too ?

You create the particles in the editor, they are saved with a file extension (.pkfs).
After you import it into Iclone and then save the effect, it will have the file extension(.iparticle).
I am not sure if you need the plugin to bring in your own effects that you create or free ones, you can test this out by bringing in one of my free effects from this forum post.

2 things the plugin allows:
- you have access to all the particle settings, change the texture, change the meshes, etc.
- you can import particles from the editor.

Hello, K_Digital I have not published them yet they are on the marketplace backend I will publish some later tonight or tomorrow, I am in the process of making videos to demonstrate the effects and I don't know how long, Reallusion will take to show the effects, on the marketplace.

Does anyone know if i could use the newer editor for creating effects, then load them into the older one in order to store pkfx for Iclone ?

The particles created in the V2 can't be imported in the V1.
Yes you can install the V1 and V2 Popcornfx editor on your PC.

mtakerkart, beat me to it, also just an update the Warped Reality VFX store is open I have a few effects up there and will be adding more almost every other day I have a few more going up today.
