I am trying to create a character transformation similar to that of Mystique from the X-Men franchise. To this end, I have created short video (about 200 to 300 frames with a file size around 500KB) of the various diffuse maps (face, body, legs, arms, eye, and hair). These transition from a blue skinned diffuse map into a regular skinned diffuse map.
The issue is that when I try to apply these in either iClone or Character Creator, the file starts to import but seems to get stuck at 0%. I even let it sit for a half an hour or so, just to see if it is actually importing but at a really slow rate but it never got to even 1%. I get the same results in both iClone 7 and CC3. I don't have iClone8 or CC4 so I can't check if the problem is also present in these newer versions.
Is there a recommended file format and/or file settings that should be used for such video files? Is there some minimal system specifications (on top of the regular system requirements) to use this feature?
I am able to use the video diffuse maps in Blender on an CC3 exported character but I'd like to get it working in iClone/CC3 if I can.

I would have to try for a character, but I usually have the best results with WMV files. MP4 files give problems sometimes.
I just changed the Diffuse channel of a character with a square 1024x1024 WMV video (this was the size of the texture) and it worked in iClone 7.

Thanks. I will try converting my MP4 videos to WMV and see if that helps.
