As the title says. It just does not load anything, but the starting pose. I have used the same settings as this video. Export DAZ Animation to iClone 8 (youtube.com) Mixamo FBX's work a treat, but I want to use Daz aniblocks too. Thanks in advance

H i for clarity, are baking the aniblocks to the Daz studio timeline before export to FBX ?

Yes I baked the aniblocks and did it again this morning, just creates a pose and no animation, Mixamo poses are no problem at all. This is very frustrating 😤

Indeed seems it should be straight forward (as in the video you linked) sorry I cant be of more help except to suggest reviewing your exported Daz FBX in a third party app like Blender or the free FBX review app from Autodesk. if you see the DAZ FBX character moving ok ,in another app, you can narrow your problem down to the iclone importer settings etc.

Most appreciated, I think it's Daz, as loading the same fbx back into Daz the result is the same, that will never get fixed if it is, much like trying to import obj's, ones created in Daz are always problems 99% of the time.

What version of Daz studio are you running on which OS and what figure generation are you exporting ? I only ask because lately I have not had any issues with FBX exports I even have a Commercial product that relies on FBX IMPORT into Daz studio from Mixamo.

Updated to Daz3d 4.22 tried a different aniblock, works in Blender, yet neither will export anything but the pose to Iclone?

Must be an issue on the Iclone side then I am still on Iclone version 7 so i am afraid I can't run any useful tests for you on my end O.T. BTW you would not happen to be the same “Wyrmaster" from the old Poser Community, who made the "Voluptuous Vicky & Massive Mike figures would you?

I see, well I hope you get this Daz aniblock to FBX issue resolved soon. Best wishes.

IIRC this is a problem for newer versions of Daz (well, "newer" being anything other than, say, 4.12. Which EVERYONE should still be using).
You can find the older versions out there - I'd recommend you try them.

I tried it on an older Daz 4.20 still the same.outcome As I said previously, I am still on Iclone7 however out of sheer curiosity..........I Loaded a Daz G8 male in DS 4.20 and applied an aniblock bake the aniblock Daz timeline key frames and exported BVH. Exported G8 male to FBX
imported G8 male into the old 3Dxchange pipeline, he is auto recognized, I convert to non standard loaded the daz studio BVH into motion library in 3DX applied to non standard G8 male , added to perform export as Imotion to iclone 7 in lclone7 imotion works great with CC3 figures. Perhaps Iclone 8 can import & retarget BVH from Daz studio

Once again thank you, I will try to give that way a try and let you know if it is a success

I followed your instructions via iClone 7, with BVH and unfortunately all that happens is the bones load only, guess I should give up on trying to import daz animations, thanks for your help though.

For clarity: are you saying the you have the older 3DX pipeline version. you import a Daz G8 FBX and only his bones load into 3DX change?
Sorry but this makes no sense, as I discovered just yesterday that 3DX pipeline 7 will import an animated Daz figure as FBX as OLD as Daz Mike 3. I realized this only yesterday as I was converting some ragdoll simulations from the really old Endorphin software(2004) and exported data is only compatible with really old Daz/poser figures. To my very pleasant surprise, I was able to export my ragdoll animated Daz mike3 from Daz studio DIRECTLY into 3DX pipeline 7 as FBX and his animation comes in already added to the perform editor ready for export as Imotion data for Iclone
The same is true ,of course for a Daz G8 exported (already animated) from Daz studio as seen in the attached pic here. it works with G8 figure from Daz studio 4.12 up to the latest 4.22

This ability has been rolled into Iclone 8 AFAIK as I have seen many videos covering it. Would you be willing to bake a simple, short aniblock to a default G8 male and export him as FBX (binary 2013) and share the file for me ( and perhaps others using Iclone 8) to test on our end??

Awesome, those settings you posted worked, the bones thing only happens if you load a bvh into 3dexchange, thanks so much :) Now all I need to get my head around is adding spring bones to CC3+, another problem that seems to be un-answered in youtube or here as the tutorials don't work Blender to CC4 lol

Yeah the daz BVH to 3DX requires both an FBX of the figure and a BVH imported into the 3DX animation library but that is the really old method I was only suggesting as a last resort. Remember when exporting a FBX, from Daz studio to Iclone or CC4, you must select everything before export ( clothing ,hair etc) unless you are just using an animated base figure to harvest the Daz animation in iclone. Glad we got it sorted out for you!!:D Cheers
