I have just installed Character Creator 4 and have started using the training videos, the the first thing I have learnt is to modify the face the quick way is to use the smiley face icon. For some reason I do not have this feature. I have checked all the tool bar settings but still no sign of this modify feature. my question is is the learning video out of date or is it my version of cc version 4.4.2509.1 ?
Any ideas ?

Do you mean this one?
That is just a camera setting to zoom in on the face. After that you would select Morphs from the Modify panel:
I haven't seen the tutorial, but this is my guess. Please provide a link to it if you require further explanations.

As animagic posted, it is a pre set camera view accessed by pressing j on the keyboard or through the camera view drop down menu.
In the video that you linked to accessing this icon is not mentioned. One of the oversights that occur every now and then in these videos, things appear on screen without any explanation.

Clearly I have a long way to get to grips with CC4.
I have spent years using cartoon animator this is a major step up.

These are RL things we unfortunatley always have to deal with. Things change without notice and many tutorials are out of date. :-(

The tutorial is still applicable for the basics.
However, I watched the tutorial and in 1:22 the current camera setting has changed to Face without indicating how it got there. So that is confusing. The tutorial does however explain how to get to the Face camera around 1:55. Then, a bit later, there is an explanation how to use morphs.
