Zbrush Tools Polypaint Nightmare

I'm really not getting along with this plugin at all right now.

I follow along the tutorials as described. I convert the texture to polypaint, record my polypaint on a new layer and as soon as you turn off the recording, the head model turns white. Yes I do use MRGB mode, texture to polypaint as described, paint in RGB mode and the layer stores the detail that you paint but returning the layer recording off or sending update to character creator turns off the original texture and just sends the bit that you painted, a white base with small bits that you painted. It's like it doesn't layer the two together, the original texture plus your added layer of details.

I can add sculpted layer details no worries, this carries across into CC4 as advertised, but the polypaint, crikey it's really hit and miss. I think i have got it to work just once.

This is frustrating as hell. Buggy.

Can you let me know which plugin you are using?
Is it Face Tools or CC GoZ?
If it is Face Tools, the issue might be caused by a custom layer you added.

We suggest the following steps:
1. Enable "Include Wrinkles in Polypaint" when sending the model from CC to ZB.
2. Ensure that you paint on the layer with recording enabled, then bake.
3. Alternatively, if you're baking the texture, make sure all layers have recording disabled.

Could you please share the steps you followed with us? We are highly interested in your case. Thanks.

Hi thanks for responding. I'm using ZBrush Face Tools.

I think i have figured out the steps to take. It would seem if you do the steps of select MRGB and texture to polypaint on any custom layer it will always go white after stopping recording after painting some RGB test strokes.
It would seem the step of MRGB , texture to polypaint has to be done on the predefined CC_details layer.
I was trying to keep that layer free from any of my polypaint or sculpting, seeing as that is the default layer for the details from normals/displacement map on first setup.
I can seemingly create my own custom layers after doing the initial polypaint on the CC_details layer and stop recording, add extra layers and use the sliders to blend as expected. I don't think that part was explained properly in tutorial or manual.
I didn't have to send the include wrinkles in polypaint nor did I bake anything.

Thanks.
PS. I'm sure you have a ZBrush Body tools plugin or addon in the works, this would get a thumbs up from me. ;)
