Hi, I know this is the 8 forum, and I'm still in 7, but hoping someone out there has a solution for the Sword & Shield pack problem I'm encountering.
How do you make the movements interact? In other words, I have an attacker, that's great, but how do i set up a clip for the defender to match the attackers moves?? I thought all the clips would have matching counter moves: Attack and Defend?
So I have a guy attacking a woman. His moves look great. But where are her counter moves as she fends him off? Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks! rp

Hi...
The pack comes with 11 attack and 15 block moves. So you should just need to apply the attack move to the first character and the block move you wish to use use to the second character. Then it's just a case of tweaking the positions of the characters and the timing of the attack/block motion clips on the timeline so the block occurs just at the right time the attacker strikes.

Thanks for reply- trying to match these moves has proven to be very difficult. I would have thought the counter moves would be created and labeled. no such luck. I'll keep swapping things in and out. I thought I was missing something! Thank you again Peter!!

Hi red/orange,
I used this motion pack to do a short promo clip for a movie series I wanted to create some years ago. I abandoned the project for several reasons, but here is the clip:
To match the clips from the motion pack isn't that easy, if you want sword and shield to have contact to each other. You have to animate those by hand using the provided motion files as a base. First you need to be clear what should happen. Write it down, do little drawings of the differnt stages of the fight. Then you need to find the matching clips. You should start with the attack of person "A" and then you look for a decend defend motion for Person "B". This motion should match the attack, but it doean't need to be on point right now. For instance: if you have a "strike from above" attack motion, the defender needs to hold his sword horizontally to hold against the strike, or he/she does a side step, or a step backwards. Repeat this steps until the fight sequence is finished. Then comes the fine tuning. Use the "edit motion" panel to finetune the motions via key framing. As I said before, if you want to have contact between swords and shields, you have to do this by yourself. The motions provided by reallusion are just the base from where you go on ...
Greetings, Direx
