Elite Program is not being renewed for 2024

I got the following message today regarding the Elite program:

Thank you for being our Elite Member in the past year. We appreciate your tremendous support and would like to notify you that, in an effort to streamline our membership program, we will not be offering the Elite Program for 2024. As a token of our appreciation, we would like to offer you an exclusive gift of 2,000 Bonus Points (Value $20) when you join Prime Membership. ( Know More ) Thank you for your continued support!

Well, as far as I'm concerned that sucks big time. I have been an Elite Member for several years now and dropped a 4-figure dollar amount every year on assets from the Content Store and now Reallusion is discontinuing the program for 2024. For me that means that I will be spending a great deal less on assets from the Content Store in the future (and then only if assets are seriously discounted, i.e. 35+ percent off).
Since I already have Prime, offering 2,000 bonus points for joining Prime is totally useless to me. And, even if I got the bonus points in spite of already being a member, this "exclusive gift" is a far cry from the several hundred dollars in annual savings I used to enjoy because of being an Elite Member.
So thanks for nothing, Reallusion!

Nobody else have any thoughts on this?

Apparently, there don't seem to be too many current Elite Members in the first place or, if there are, they don't seem to care about losing this way of saving money on Content Store purchases.

I was a member for one year, but for me the requirement of spending so much on content to be eligible wasn't feasible anymore.

So instead I joined the Premier Prime program, which is worth it for me.

EDIT: It's called Prime.

Well, as I said in my first post, I (used to) purchase more than 1K dollars' worth of assets from the Content Store per year anyway so meeting the requirement was not really an issue. The only thing I needed to do was to time the purchases in such a way that at least 700 dollars worth of content would fall into the last quarter of any one year to qualify for membership the next year. I had been planning to do the same thing this year when I saw the notice. Since the program is being discontinued, I will now only pick up whatever I really want to make use of the Elite and Prime discounts before the end of this year. And next year, I'll be concentrating more on Marketplace sales and Content Store promotions of at least 30% off. The only advantage this move by RL has for me is that I no longer have to way until assets that were originally published on the Marketplace are also put up for sale in the Content Store, which, in some case, has taken many weeks in the past.

As a rule, I don't purchase 3D assets at full or list price if they cost more than 5 USD or the equivalent in points; this does not only apply to the RL stores but also to other platforms I use such as Turbosquid or cgtrader.

Hm, I have been "elite" member from the beginning of that "deal"...
Got no mail regarding discontinuation.
It was a cool feature, esp. when working for clients, you could get things to an affordable price anytime...
@ Peter (RL)
Could you please chime in and give us an official confirmation "elite" is discontinued?

I did not receive any e-mail on this either. As I explained before, I used to try to do the majority of my Content Store purchases in the fourth quarter of each year and I kept waiting for the Elite banner to change to 2024 when October rolled around but the banner never changed. Then I noticed a line of text directing me to this:

Look under Elite FAQ and then the first entry ("Important notification about Elite Program") to find the text I quoted in the initial post.

Thanks for pointing this out.  I had been saving up things to buy for the end of the year.
I better get busy with my remaining time left on my Élite coupon!

Thank you for this post. It's disappointing and a mistake on their part..

Yes, I think so, too. I still expect RL to offer special holiday deals and the like, but getting 40% off all year around was pretty sweet.

As sad as I was about the end of the Elite program, I wouldn't be able to make $600 worth of purchases this year anyway.
RL constantly releases great products and it's impossible for me to keep up right now.
However, every member here has the right to receive a 40% welcome coupon.
It is automatically defined for Actorcore.

For the content store, you need to redeem this coupon yourself.
https://www.reallusion.com/ContentStore/new-member/default.html

I got this free coupon and will save it for a good shopping next year.
I'm going to make one last purchase, even if it's small, with my elite coupon this year.

But if you have an elite coupon, be careful.
The system gives priority to the welcome coupon.
After removing the welcome coupon, activate the elite coupon.

Well, IMO the ActorCore welcome coupon does not really make up for the loss of the Elite program. The problem with ActorCore is the limited product range: I already own pretty much all of the motion packs available there (however, purchased from the Content Store/the Marketplace) and have little interest in the ActorScan or ActorBuild assets for quality reasons.

Wow, this is a major blow for me, having been an elite member for 4 or more years, I have spent £££k per year to have a library of resources but the removal on top of the extra expense due to licenses, which Reallusion didnt cater for those with iContent to Standard, the loss of elite is probably the death knell for me for Iclone unless there's a serious change.

Iclone and CC are fantastic creative toolboxes that like many has enabled me to do what I thought was once impossible at my entry level.

I wish there were competing products!

Hilarious reasoning. To streamline :) what a joke.

But yeah, I’ve been spending thousands per year mostly because of that program.

I’ll be reducing from buying almost everything new that lands to buying almost nothing. Can’t say I’m that sad about it though.

Yup, me too. I did load up on Content Store assets before the Elite program ran out, though. So it will be a while before enough new stuff gets published and it really sinks in for me.
Also, with no more Elite discount, I no longer have to wait for several weeks or months for "certified" products to "move" from the Marketplace to the Content Store.
As a hobbyist, I don't exactly "need" any 3D assets (not just speaking only of iClone/CC content here); some assets are more useful than others but there is nothing really worth paying full list price for (unless it is 5 USD or less). In other words, the discontinuation of the Elite program simply means that any asset needs to score higher on the usefulness scale before I make a purchase and there will be fewer purchases just in case I might ever want to use an asset one day.

Same here, I spent $500 on whatever I could possibly need simply to take advantage off what remained of the Elite status.

Only thing available now is prime but I have to pay for that, its not earnt from loyalty like Elite was.

Depending on how Content Store sales continue to develop in the absence of the Elite program, I kind of expect Reallusion to come up with new discount programs and/or promotions. Which is fine for people who can wait for good deals but not so good for those how may have an urgent need for certain assets. With Elite, it was easier to plan for such "contingencies".

I think the same, I guess when months go by and they see that users are not buying, next year they will release something.

They wanted to put me in the enterprise license.

These last years I have spent more than 1000$, they will know.  Zero purchases, I think it's worse.  They will bring out coupons, or whatever they want, ;-)
