Can anyone tell me how this pack is supposed to be installed in CA5? It says use the SMART CONTENT MANAGER / SMART GALLERY in CA5 to install but I cannot find anyway to achieve this. I have watched the official video on it which is frankly useless and seems more like an ad video.

You need to install the pack using Content Manager inside CTA5. All content packs are now installed using Content Manager and not as a separate download like with CTA4. Please take a look at the tutorial below to learn how this is done.
