Massive latency issue with Intel 12th/13th/14th Gen processors

It looks like that a change in the Intel Core architecture starting with generation 12 is causing massive latency problems.

Intel moved the IOH controller. Until version 11 it was integrated directly into the processor. After that they moved it onto the mainboard. This introduces very noticeable lagging for desktop applications. Games are not effected.

So, now it would be nice to know if somebody here can compare how Reallusion software works on 10th/11th Gen Core processors compared to the later models.

I’ve heard about this issue but honestly no, I am going between 10th and 12th gen pcs at the moment during some v hardcore testing and they are the same. That is, the 12th gen is faster slightly because it’s a slightly faster chip. But yeah as far as iClone goes I’m not seeing issues.

But it could just be these two pcs. If it helps to know the specs, one is is 12th gen i5-12600K with a 3090 FE. Other is 10th gen i7-10700 with 3090 FE. Both running windows 10 pro.

Thanks for your answer. I currently use nearly the same hardware as your second, slower build. It's fine so far.

There is noticeable “latency” issues when the curve editor tries to do.. basically anything lol. But it’s the same on both systems. The curve editor unfortunately still needs a lot of work to be as stable as Maya.

There is indeed a problem with these processors according to this:

(Sorry you already linked to that video... )

It doesn't just effect iClone, but other non-gaming applications as well. Unfortunately, not something RL can do anything about, probably.

Yeah, I thought about upgrading from my 10th Gen Intel processor but I better skip the newer Intel releases because these problems will definitely also effect other programs I'm using like video editors and DAWs.
