Help! I'm working on a scend where the characters arm is underneath a pillow, and the head is on top , eventually the head will tun on the pillow.
does anyone know the setting for soft body items? it will be on the bed, the bed is set as static rigid body. when I set for soft cloth, it work to a point .
it need this for the realism of the entire scene, and i can't do this in blender as my system bogs down with the actual motion of the character,

i am at wits end.

I would recommend a few quality morphs for the pillow made in Blender and go from there.

Physics also possible but would be lot more hassle to tweak it specially that pillow would be trapped between hands and the head at the beginning.
Pillow should be a single material quality mesh with mostly flat bottom. Physics map pure white.
Gravity disabled for soft cloth, Solver Frequency to max (1200), Drag and Dump to 0.9. The rest of the setting do not matter much.

You should be getting something like this:

If you also have long hair which should not go through the pillow/bed, then physics has to be set in stages.
Fist, all should be well animated and pillow soft cloth baked and disabled.
And then a set of collision shapes staged and possibly animated so that har stays relatively above pillow/bed surface.

If you are referencing to morphs, then yes, you can create various deformation shape keys in Blender and then import pillow FBX to iClone.
All deformation morphs would be available in Morphs Animator

A pillow can be extruded with an internal structure similar to a cable with internal structure. That gives it some bounce.
