Was just introduced to a commercial about a text-to-speech AI called Speechelo. Sounds interesting. Anybody heard anything about it, other than the commercial?

meh, pretty standard / basic - you can get that quality from google voice for free
this is the best I've seen so far available to the public - https://beta.elevenlabs.io/
what makes this one particularly special is that it has some adjustments to change the performance that i've not seen anywhere else - it breaks the usual monotone performance you get from tts - this video shows some of what it can do - the new tech is about making your own voices from recordings and using ai to change emotion / performance.

I looked at Speechelo (which is cloud based) a while ago and did not like the advertising methods they used so stayed away from it. There are better solutions. as pointed out above.

Wow, that sounds really great! I'd be interested in other voices they might have, I'll have to look into this, thanks!

yes I have heard of it, I would suggest to leave it alone it's awful I know that because I purchased it used to a couple of times and will never use again it's just overhyped rubbish. Try replica studio it is what I use and it is far more superior.

Voice Maker has voice effects such as Angry, Friendly, Shouting and Terrified. They have a monthly ($5) and yearly plan. You can save has MP3. You just cut and paste from Voice Maker box to IC AccuLips box. It is very fast to do. It works good. God Bless.

Thank you all for all your kind responses to my question. You've given me a lot of possibilities to consider. Certainly, it looks like Speechelo is NOT the answer I was looking for.
