Great feature. The texture of the CC character has been made very easy to apply to the meta-human character. I really congratulate the Reallusion team. The Reallusion team is constantly adding great features to the programs. Well, I want to ask an important question that everyone will be curious about. Will the restrictions of Reallusion licenses apply when we apply textures to the metahuman character? Because everything else except texture belongs to Epic Game. I feel like it's going to be a licensing mess. My guess is that only texture customization will fall under license restriction.
Also, it would be great if there is support for Vroid characters. :)

Great great news. I see that Kevin metahuman has the CC4's clothes, does it mean it's possible to transfer clothed CC4 to clothed MH ? that would be a real game changer

This is fantastic!
The examples are 3D scanned (like Kevin), and at the moment that’s the secret to making great CC characters. Otherwise, the current slider system and/or headshot process ends up with below average results.
So I can’t wait for mesh to cc to be released! (With the new headshot) To me that’s the important thing, otherwise I don’t need to go from cc to metahuman. Does that make sense? :)

Hi Charlie, I didn't even notice that. But you're right he's wearing Kevin's clothes. That would be great if we could transfer the CC4 clothing. Without big problems.😀 Greetings Robert

No, I see that with the current system only CC4 textures can be applied to metahuman characters. If you notice, the clothes are not the same :) As far as I can see, the Metahuman outfit is set to a color similar to Kevin's outfit colors. The character in the other video is already Kevin himself.

@mrtobycook thank you. Reallusion gave credit for "https://generated.photos" last year. There are a few images I have licensed from the site with this credit. I created the character using one of these images with the headshot plugin.

Hi, Fionn I can't find the option of high-definition textures, even though I set 4K in SkinGen Editor, applied 4K overall skin and baked 4K textures. Nothing worked. Please advise. Thank you

The function to apply CC Textures seems to be missing in my UE 5.2. I have seen few posts on YT mentioning similar behaviour. Is there any workaround for this? Should I create a ticket for it?

I just made a ticket about the same issue last night. I hope it gets sorted out. Its the final missing piece I need for my workflow.

Hi! I'm following this tutorial, and I don't get the "Apply CC Textures". I have the Metahuman Pluging installed, also Auto-setup, both enabled in Unreal. Any advice why that button is missing?
Thank you all!!

Hi! I'm experiencing this next issue: Auto-setup in Unreal works well for full-body characters, but when trying to import only the Head that I got from cc4, then Auto-setup doesn't work and it freezes.
I need to use the "Export Head" so I can use the "Apply CC textures" button later on in Unreal.
Thanks in advance! :D

The Export head option from CC4.31.2001.1 only exports flat colour swatches and the normal maps are all wrong as well. Please fix this urgently.

Just a quick reminder, if you believe there are issues with the CC to Metahuman Pipeline, please make sure to report the issues in the Feedback Tracker and the Dev team will investigate. This is very important. If you only discuss on the forum then the issue may not get fixed. Thanks.

Hi, I am considering buying Digital Human Essential 3-in-1 + Wrinkle Essentials, but I was wondering if it is possible to export the different wrinkle normal maps to use with Metahumans. Using the CC3+ to Metahuman workflow.

Does anyone have any update on this being fixed? At this rate 5.3 will be out before a fundamental bug in 5.2 is addressed.

Could we possibly get an answer for this? In a scenario where the only Reallusion assets used in the final base mesh are the textures (after having gone through the mesh to Metahuman process outlined in the original post), would the Standard/Extended licensing restrictions used for the other CC assets still apply? Would kind of undermine the whole "Full Ownership" thing that is plastered all over the page for metahuman compatibility. Thanks!

Hi...
Extended Licenses are only required for CC Components such as ccAvatar, ccProject, ccSlider, ccHair, ccCloth, ccShoes and ccGloves when used on characters in games, applications or VR projects. So in the case of CC to Metahuman where these components are not included in the final model, the Extended License restrictions do not apply, hence the full ownership notice.

Has anyone else had a problem with driving Metahumans through Live Link recently? It's possible the blueprints have changed on the UE side, and now when I activate the link the character transform isn't working; the character moves limbs etc. but is standing on the same spot.

1. be sure you added the "Meta Human Live Link Kit" https://www.reallusion.com/iclone/live-link/unreal-engine/download.html 2. Add it to your UE5 project and overwrite when asking. 3. Now you have a new "Face Anim BP" which is needed 4. Rename the new Face Anim BP to something like CC_To_MH_ FaceAnim 5. Every time when you add a new Meta Human to your project via Quixel Bridge the Face Anim BP will be overwritten ( for UE Live Link Face ) and IClone Live Link won't work anymore , so switch the face BP it to the renamed one and it works fine again.

Just updated the new LL and it's working out-of-the-box, no need for any AnimBP changes. Thanks anyway! :)

Does anyone else have the same texture limitations for exporting the CC head to MH. It seems that exporting a CC3+ offers a higher resolution. How I can get the max resolution possible exported with the head to Unreal? Diffuse / Base color seems to have a forced cap of 2048 on High, but exporting a CC3+ head offers a 4096 for the head diffuse texture.
thanks.

You don't need Live Link. You will of course need Unreal, Auto Setup and the Metahumans already installed but then it's a simple export from CC4 as shown in the quick tutorial below.
