Stopping the SkinGen process without adding hair

As you know, when you start applying skins, the hair and clothing disappears. The only way I've found to stop this is to apply another hair or clothing. Is there any way to stop the SkinGen process WITHOUT adding anything? Manually?

It didn't disappear it is just hidden to make it easier to work on the skin.

There is a setting so that it doesn't happen. See here in the manual.

I would encourage to study manual for a bit. iClone and CC are fairly complicated programs with a lot of features. It will take time to become familiar.

I've been looking through the manual, yes, but I can't find where this Dynamic Texture Editor is in the controls.

It is a setting in the Preference panel.

Under the label Dynamic Texture Editor, you will find the option "Show clothing and accessories in skin editor mode."

I see panels for File. Edit, Create, Modify, Character, Mesh, Render, View, Window, Plugins, Script and Help. I do not see a Preference panel.

Edit => Preference or Ctrl+P.
