I have a computer that's too slow for iclone 8, once there are more than 3 characters. I'm buying a new computer, but how to transfer my assets there? I have a LOT of reallusion assets. And I may leave this new computer at work, and get another later. How to transfer them, including iclone and cc4? I know how to get all the assets to come over, they have that in the help. And is there a way to buy an easier path to migrate? Like a "roaming license" that allows multiple computers? If it's still just you using them?

Someone told me I can just clone the hard drive if I want to move to a new computer, and he software will accept it.
Anyone know if that's true?
There are other "unique" numbers on motherboards, so the worry is that reallusion got sneaky in identifying the computer.
A license to roam would be nice, even at $1000.

You can install iClone on 2 computers, but only use it on one of them at the same time. Quite a few users here do that so that they can use a Laptop while away from home. You can copy the entire content file Directories from 1 system to another before installing iClone on the second system. During the install on the second system point iClone to the content directories that you just copied when asked where to save content.
It is very possible that you will have to verify and get content registered on the second system through the Content manager, and you may even be required to redownload assets.

Great! I knew reallusion must have worked this out. I went overboard and got a $5000 computer with that latest $2000 graphics card and 128GB of memory.
(Income Tax refund season).
The machine I'm on now can't even handle more than 2 realistic characters. Someone showed me a video card rating page, and the new one is 1300 times faster...
