Hello,

I would like tocontinue an animation series I began in 2D animation software bytransforming it into 3d. So many aspects of the original project will bemuch much easier, but there seems to be an immutability in 3d with respectto characters that might make this impossible. I would need to beable to fuse characters into a single character, or somehow overlapthem and mask out the opposite side of each. Specifically thischaracter has a split brain so all of his actions including lip sync and facial expressionsare severed in the middle.

I could alwaysproduce 2 independent films and splice them in After effects if Ikept the character flat and frontal and prevented him from moving asI had to do in the 2d version. But I would like to be able to movethe character in space.

Is there any way Ican accomplish this in Iclone? If so could anyone point me to the reference I haven't found it yet in the manual or the tutorials.

Thank you any help would be greatly appreciated

Paul

I did this in about five minutes - obviously you can work on this far longer and with a lot more talent (I'm pretty bad) but it shows how two different personalities can exist on one head.

While I didn't try it out, I'm pretty sure using Acculips on this would work fine, and you could even enhance it further with edits (like showing only one side of the face, or even just having the mouth move mostly on one side).  Just a thought.

Thank you for your reply, and the time you took to explore this. Could you give me a hint as to how you did it or point me to a reference?
Thank you
