Ok so image layers are easy to make fade in the timeline, but when it comes to rendering my work for some reason the image doesn't fade at all in the video, so instead I just get a black video with sound since the image I wanted to be a fade in and out of my scene, the lense flare doesn't fade either in my rendered video

How do you fade out the image layer?
I just tried this using the Opacity slider under Material Settings for the image layer and it fades out and renders correctly. I rendered to MP4.
