Hi all, I'm updating my Skeleton iAvatar pack and when I go to upload the pack to Reallusion the dialog says that it may require some external files (see screenshot) I believe I know which file it's missing (the diffuse image for the new eyes) but I don't know how to properly include that file in the pack so customers don't have to deal with a texture problem. How do I add the texture to the pack so that it works out of the box?

I hope I'm not stating the obvious but apparently the Diffuse texture is set to be external. If you make it an internal texture it will be part of the iAvatar file and not give that message.

Thanks animagic! There is no such thing as "obvious" to me, lol. I'll do some searching around on how to make the material internal to the project.

I couldn't remember the exact term, but it's actually called embedding. Below is an example:
Notice the chain-link on the thumbnail. This indicates that the texture is external. To embed it, click the "Embed Texture" button.

Thanks for going deep on this. I'm using CC4 (latest version with all patches). My UI looks a bit different from yours. Nothing shows the link icon. All 3 different textures on the content pack don't show any value for the bitmap field.
I wish the error message was a bit more descriptive. The phrase "may require" seems a bit whimpy. I would love it if it gave me a list of textures that needed to be embedded. ;) I'll put that in as a suggestion. In the mean time, any idea what I'm doing wrong? Should I be creatuing the package in IC8 instead of CC4? Thanks again!

Here is a link to the issue/suggestion I raised: Suggestion

I had iClone open so that's where the screen capture came from, but it shouldn't make any difference.
Your eye Diffuse map shouldn't be the problem because it's definitely embedded. In fact, most textures are. One exception are the shader resource files but they are standard included with a CC or iClone installation.
I took a screen capture from CC showing the textures for the head. Under Shader Settings you notice various external textures, which should however be part of the CC installation. It is strange though that it complaints about the eye as that seems straightforward.

Thanks Animagic. I can only assume that it complains about the eye texture because the warning message does not specifically identify which texture is the problem. That said, the other 2 textures were imported with the FBX file from Blender and they uploaded in the past without any warnings, so I must assume it is the eye texture. Either way, I have gone ahead and published the pack and if there are any issues I'll work through them with the clients.
As always, I appreciate your help with this. You are one of the greats in this community!

You may take him to iClone and check for "External files" (a button at the very bottom of the "Project" window).
And you may disregard any of the Human Shaders assets in "Program Files" listed there (if any). End user would have those.
