Hi,
I recently bought CC4 and have been wondering what is the workflow like to source custom animations without having to buy iClone.
My target software is Unreal Engine 5.

I have three questions

1. If I buy for example this pack
https://www.reallusion.com/ContentStore/iClone/pack/iClone7-Motion-Rifle-Combat-Patrol/default.html
Will I be able to import and preview that in CC4 and export to Unreal Engine 5 or will I still be required to buy also iClone?

2. Also, I see good looking animations in Actorcore website. But will I be able to use them with my CC4 based characters?

3, Will I be able to anyhow animate CC4 characters in Maya preferably by using Human IK control rig? I tried but the workflow gets so complicated that I might be faster off by starting from scratch and skill CC4 altogether.

Yes, you can preview the animations in CC4 and then export the character and/or animations directly to Unreal. You don't need iClone 8 to do this.

Yes, ActorCore motions can used with your CC4 characters.

You can export characters from CC4 and animate them in Maya (or other 3D software or game engines). The tutorial below from one of our users should help with the workflow to Maya.

That video might cause some confusion for the OP thus is not the best example IMHO.
The OP is looking for a solution that
only uses Character creator4.

The Maya user( in the video) Exports his Character to Iclone and then from there to Maya as FBX.

This may give the  wrong impression that he needs iclone for the process which he does not, as he clearly could have exported the FBX directly from CC3/4 .
Perhaps Kai could make an up to date video tutorial
detailing the export procedure to Autodesk Maya from CC4 without iclone.
