Was wanting to know if the transpose tool will work with the new gen 9 character? It has 8k texture mapping and a slider morph for HD details. Thx

It has a new “non-binary” base mesh that can morph between male& female ,like the original Daz Genesis version 1 from years go. Completely new skeletal rig so I do not imagine CC4 would be even close to importing/transforming it.

this in all honesty looks better than CC4 and could be time to make a switch wonder if there license charges triple for game devs

For games you would need an Interactive license but how much more that would be isn't very clear. It seems to be an add-on, not a percentage, so it may be more affordable.
I'm not a game developer myself, but I think RL made a mistake with the new pricing policy for game development.

I picked up the package with the pre-sale, and there was a sale on the interactive license. The interactive license only cost me $5.

A couple things that probably will delay this: 1- the Genesis 9 figure is not in fact released as of this post, so unless RL has some access to the figure in advance, it will take some time 2- the Genesis 9 figure will only be compatible as of Daz 4.20, so protocol for sending the figure to RL via FBX to Transformer may need to be tested as well

Has anyone had any success with importing the new Daz Genesis 9 into CC4?

I got the base mesh into blender and rigged it with ARP. You could probably sneak her in via Accurig. but honestly nothing special IMHO and very dense mesh & hardware intensive.

You can import using the Create Character button. The Facial bones are there but there is no facial profile I have seen this before but cannot remember how to fix just yet. will have to investigate further.( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b96mjhiF5Oo&t=42s) EDIT: I found the tutorial that does fix facial bones. However there isn't one yet for Daz9. Perhaps there may be a way to edit it to fix this? More work to be done... I am looking at seeing if its possible to go to blender first and tweak things then using the CC Blender tools to port it back.

Update: I have found this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxu8L5w9ynA This will be the process to get all facial stuff generated. Its a tedious process as you have to do everything by hand. It is however a workable workflow. For now... I am going to attempt another process to see if I can get this to work where I can get better weight assignment in Blender then port it back into CC4. Hopefully I can successfully generate a CC4 compatible character in the end.
