How do I load an MP3 file for the Viseme timeline?

Yes, only WAV audio files in PCM format are currently supported.

If you have practical application requirements please let us know, we are happy to add mp3 support in the future version.

Yes. That is a very badly needed missing feature.
I am storing Brotli compressed MP3 audio in S3, a 13x saving over WAV file!
236,204 test_en-us_1.wav
 29,565 test_en-us_1.mp3
 18,128 test_en-us_1_compressed.mp3
I download these files from S3 in my IC Python plug-in, where I decompress them.
Please add this feature, perhaps in 8.1?
