could be great to get an add marker to the timeline. With color and labels is better and maybe a jump to marker window with a list of all the markers.

This is currently an option to add a marker (called a Flag).
In the timeline select the Project sub-track and click the Add Flag button:
A dialog will open where you can name the flag and add a description.
Clicking Apply will create the flag.
With Ctrl+> (Right Arrow) and Ctrl+< (Left Arrow) you can jump to the next or previous flag.
No color options yet...:)
