Since 3dXchange is going the way of the dino--and I essentially bought it as a way to pipeline and export animation I could also use in platforms like DAZ, was wondering how to do so now. I can pull DAZ 8 and even 8.1 into CC4 via the character creation button with no problem (SCORE!)--but I have no idea what setting to use to export the BVH out so I can apply it in DAZ--when I tried to use the exported BVH genesis 8 looked like a trapezoid, and her face melted kinda. All hints and suggestions would help ---otherwise my recent investment is kind of a bust. Any help given will be appreciated mah friend :-) Alicia

I'd be curious about this myself. I upgraded to CC4/iClone 8, but I'm still using CC3/iClone 7/3DXchange since 4/8 don't seem that compatible with Daz, which has a lot of great assets I like to use. I animate in iClone, but I would like the option of sending BVH to Daz as well. I'd like to see 3DXchange updated.

Both (CC4 and 3DX) are still working fine exporting BVH files and importing to DAZ. Routine is pretty much the same with a bit of a difference in GUI.
This is still somewhat applicable (gives you an idea what to do):
Edit: After some testing I confirm that 3DX BVH Export no longer works correctly with newest DAZ studio.
CC4 export works fine except UpperArms bones. It is off a bit and most likely a problem with DAZ studio. You could probably compensate it with aniMate2 (I did not try).

Okay, thanks, but that's for the current 3DXchange, which hasn't changed. The concern is that 3DXchange will go away. Does CC4/iClone8 have the capability to export Daz-compatible bvh like 3Dxchange does?

I just finished my quick tests minutes ago.
Yes, CC4 Exports BVH for DAZ just fine. The export settings are the same as with 3DX: Hip as Root bone and Reset Bone Offset must be checked.
Just have your character in CC4 as Humanoid with original DAZ skeleton. All bone from BVH are properly retargeted in DAZ studio (Limits must be set OFF for all bones in DAZ). The only problem is UpperArm bone. It has some weird offset.
