Hello, I am trying to create an animated conveyor belt. Is it possible to animate a texture or material so that it appears to be moving as the timeline advances? Thanks

A simple way to do this is animating the UV coordinates. They will shift the texture horizontal or vertical. If the texture is seamless it will give the impression of continuous movement.

Thanks for replying. Do you know of any tutorials that explain how in iClone?

You're too fast 4U2Guess. I will publish mine anyway.
I didn't know you could do this in IClone 8.

Me I chose a much simple way on a static treading mill: I added a simple plane (2 polys), narrowed to look like a junction, then I looped a transform (position). If you want to (re-)view the clip... :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bg-aIIOP7E8

@Amper Sand, thanks for replying. Excellent video. I have to ask; are her breasts actually bouncing in time to the song? [lmfao]

ultimativity (8/10/2022) @Amper Sand, thanks for replying. Excellent video. I have to ask; are her breasts actually bouncing in time to the song? [lmfao] Hahaha, good question 🤗 No there was no intent on this, but technically I'm assuming if I would have had her walking in sync with the song, then for sure her springs would have resonate the same :D
Back to the original question of the topic: yesterday, after I posted, I was thinking that my solution was basically a visual trick, perfect suitable for my scene (treadmill, no texture, no closeup), but strictly speaking the correct solution is the one proposed by animagic, 4u2ges and Data Juggler above (of which I was aware when I made the clip, but I rejected it because was not very confortable to be implemented in my case)
