Leap motion Iclone 8 installer installing in Iclone 7 instead of Iclone 8

I lost a few hour this morning trying to figure out why The leap motion plugin is not recognized in Iclone 8.
I dont have the solution yet but the downloaded Iclone 8 leap motion profile is installing in Iclone 7 instead of Iclone 8. Just so you know ,it doesn<t work in Iclone 7 neither. Please see attached picture.
Any help to make it work would be really appreciated.  Thank you!

The path is for a project.

The script for the actual Leap Motion plugin (called leapmotion.pyd) should be installed under C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 8\Bin64\OpenPlugin\MotionLIVE\script\module.

Did you install via the Hub? It should list a Leap Motion plugin for iClone 8. I just installed it that way and it ends up in iClone 8.

EDIT: You added some info to your post while I was doing mine. Unfortunately I don't have Leap Motion to test.

I too had the latest drivers for Leap Motion. And it didn’t work. For a long time, I couldn’t make it work. The problem is that Reallusion hasn’t updated its software for quite a while and the latest drivers from Ultraleap don’t work.

You have to revert to older drivers to make it work. For me, the V3 drivers were the solution.

Thanks for the infos. I can not believe I spent all day trying to make this work.  Earlier I was able to see the handtracking in the leap motion control panel but Iclone would not connect to the plugin. So I made several attempt to fix this, like restoring the default setting in the Leap motion control panel. I also updated the leap motion firmware. I also installed v3 , so now iclone connect to the plugin but I can't see anything moving while using the preview or record + spacebar.
I can see my hands in the leap motion control panel but I dont see the graphic of the dummy hand following my real hands. All light are green in the troubleshoot control panel so I am out of ideas here.

I get the message:

Unfortunately, Leap Motion Profile has been discontinued.
So it was no longer to sell and removed from the Software Store.
