Hello..
Can anyone ever help me with this thumb issue that I’m having and keep being ignored in feedback tracker, forums, ticket submission… etc?
I made posts in the forum and no one is helping me at all for months!
There is this issue that only iClone software has with the imported mocap files that I stream through MotionLive or import when I record them with my Perception Neuron Studio with the Gloves.
Please check my post to know more and help me if you know something.

In Studio which export rig are you using? They specifically state there is a problem with the thumb and according to the last time I talked with them it is NOT fixed.
This problem only affects exports, so the capture will look fine inside of Studio. If I get the time I'll capture the screen but you ought to be able to see it yourself (IIRC they even notate there that there is a thumb issue).
In any case, it's not an iClone problem. Your best bet in iClone is to reset the animation in iClone at the very start, reposing that thumb. I *think* that works okay (although, to be honest, I've sort of given up with PN and hands and just use the superior method of the free hand plugin inside of iClone).

I think that reallusion need to rework the t-pose when importing bvh from Perception Neuron for a better retargetting. It is easily figured out that the hands for the T-pose used by reallusion software doesn’t match the hands of the actual T-pose for the PN anymore. Probably it’s outdated (before they announced Axis Studio.) Reallusion just didn’t bother to update it!

As I said, the PN folks know they have an issue. So it's not an iClone problem.

I am using XSens and have the same issue. I'm using the T-Pose from the XSens puppet file. XSens uses the Motionbuilder profile.

So you think it's something Reallusion should fix?

Hey all,
I came across this while looking to solve a completely different issue. Not sure if it's something that will help --

That is just a workaround and not a solution. I was already using that method in the video to fix mocaps manually for each character and each mocap file. Not really impressed with Reallusion not caring to fix this. Imagine they still didn't answer any of my mails and feedbacks! So CHEAP!
