Setting keys but no inbetween interpolation?

I have a strange problem with setting keys in the Motion Layer Editor ...

I made a new project, copied the Party Girl into the scene from the content manager. Then I opened the Motion Layer Editor to add a key by rotating the arm like this:

This creates an animation key in the timeline ... but there are no inbetweens created  ...  When I playback the animation it "switches" between the pose in frame 1 and the newly created key....
It behaves like a "poseswitch" .... as if "linear interpolation" is turned off or something....

Maybe I accidently clicked on a button or activated a checkbox somewhere and set IC into some kind of a "switch mode"?? IDK ...
I tried the same in IC7 (Trial) and there it works as you'd expected...

I'm a little bit confused ....
Please Help! :)

Try adding an additional keyframe in at the point you want the arm to start moving, that might be the problem but its hard to see the whole of the timeline in your pic, an extra key will expand the Motion box so you can ease in/ out.

Thanks Kidder for your hint. Unfortunately that didnt help. My timeline looks like this:

I added a key in frame 1 now, in frame 55 is the second key ... inbetween nothing ... The Motion Layer Editor has set keys for all bodyparts btw... although i only rotated the arms shoulder ...

So did you look to see WHAT interpolation IS turned on?  And you do know you can change it per key?

I can't replicate your timeline, if I put 2 keys in the timeline motion track joins both together Unless you used break motion in which case you can assign the interpolation you want between the 2 keys as Kellytoon said have you done this by highlighting keys in motion layer right clicking and selcting transition curve.
If you've done this then I'm stumped on this one.

Im new to IClone (not new to keyframe animation tho) ... so no ... :)
Where can I see that? And how can I change it?

Sorry, I'm in-between installs here (just getting 8 installed on this machine).  Um, look in the manual?  I think you highlight the key and right-click and see the curves but I'm sure the manual will explain (or someone here will jump in).  If you haven't got it nailed by tomorrow I'll jump back in.

You have Animation > Clip AutoExtend is set to OFF. Enable it in the menu. And then recreate a second key.

Otherwise, you may drag a Blend section all the way to first key from the second and them drag the top section back, creating this sort of triangle in Blend section.
This "thing" with split blend section is new for IC8 and I am kind of playing with it currently to see what it does.

Woohooo! That was it!! Thank you 4u2ges!! You saved my day! :)
I probably turned it off accidently while playing arround ...

^^ "Clip Auto Extend" must be ACTIVE (green icon)!
