I currently have CC3, Iclone 7, 3DXChange and a Rokoko motion capture suit. First I make my character, then I have it sent to Iclone7. I then put on my suit, record the motion and export it as an FBX out of Rokoko Studio. Then in 3DXchange, I convert the FBX to BVH  which is then thrown over to Iclone 7 where it is applied to my character easily. Now that CC4 and Iclone8 is out, I heard that 3DXchange is going to be retired. Is this true? Like now in CC4, I'll be able to convert characters, like a rigged astronaut FBX I purchased online, and have it integrate easily into Iclone8? While I still have 3DXchange, what is the new process of getting my Rokoko's motion capture suit data over to Iclone 8 if 3DXchange is no longer necessary? I haven't been able to find anything on it, and am currently considering upgrading to CC4 and Iclone 8, but wanted to know more as I heavily use the suit. Any help clarifying would be greatly appreciated.

Here's my test of rokoko suit to iclone 8 from the studio export;  i have the rokoko plug in but haven't tested that yet.

buy it was just a drag and drop,  then check settings and it converted

Oh wow. So just to clarify. You didn't have to use 3DXchange at all? You just exported as FBX or BVH format from Rokoko studio and dragged and dropped right into Iclone 8 without having to convert in 3DXchange?

Exactly.

I exported to a file on my desktop, then dragged it right onto the character in ICLONE. It asks for the type of file but that’s it. It was pretty conversion too.

Hey Andrew. I was hoping you would be able to possibly help me out. I finally got Iclone 8 and am attempting to drag the FBX Maya Human animation I recorded in Rokoko Studio on to the character. When I do so, I chose the Maya Motion Profile as the only other one that appears is "Current Character" and that one does not work, and my characters motions comes out very discombobulated. I made a post where someone said I somehow needed to find a different motion profile. Here is the video I posted in another forum post illustrating the situation. https://youtu.be/3Cu7ytFRUR0

I was wondering how you were able to do it? Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi, I just saw this at two in the morning but wanted to let you know that I’ll take a look on my program during the day to see what I’m exporting and importing as.

Decided to take a look; Was there a recent update? My rokoko files are now doing the same thing… same files I used up above so I haven’t changed any settings.

I’ll create a ticket in the morning.

We went from iClone 8.0 to iClone 8.01 and from CC 4.0 to CC 4.01.
