I just messed around with retargeting stuff today.
I have prepared 2 tutorials showing how to target CC4 characters to both UE5 and UE4 mannuquin and vice versa retargeting UE5 and UE4 mannuquin to CC4 characters.
I hope it helps those in need.

There is a point to note in the rig file.
(shown in the UE5 rig video I prepared)
After the bone mappings are finished, some bones need to be set to absolute.
You can also lower the character's shoulders a little while editing the pose
I can say that it is 100% compatible and works perfectly.

AutoDidact, I'm doing 10 different jobs at the same time and I can't finish anything.
Everything is left unfinished.

I don't even know what I'm going to be anymore. :D
Sometimes I want to drop everything and just sleep :)

In the past few weeks I have learned to rig custom character meshes from scratch using Auto  pro for Blender and sorted out how to use my massive 2,475 file Mixamo FBX archive with the built in Retargeter for Autorig pro.

Just bought two amazing new modeling plugins from blender Market and was all excited to use them to build some new sci-fi environments.

Alas this morning , my on going Daz  animation client
uploaded audio files and story and storyboards to my Dropbox for my next commission (Great guy, he pays in advance!!):)
So no time to play this week.
I am five months away from age 60 ,and find myself literally wishing it were possible for a human being to skip sleeping entirely.:crazy:

I made this video by request, but you're right about that.
I have suggested many times that the auto rig file should also be created when importing characters into UE, but RL hardly heeded this suggestion.
Even a simple vroid program comes with a rig file.

Hey! Thanks for that tutorial! Question: Any idea how to fix this hand warping form a CC4 -> UE4.27  You can see the difference from the mannequin to the person. I can't seem to crack the code lol.

Unfortunately I haven't tested it with UE4.27.
If your retargeting settings are correct, you can check that the IK goal location you created is in the correct bones.
Other than that, you should delete any unused retargeting data.
Maybe @Bassline303 has an opinion on this.
When importing the CC character, have you tried importing directly by selecting the UE4 skeleton?
