Working on a commissioned project...
Got iProject sent from client, worked quite a lot on expressions.
When applying AccuLips, I noticed beard is cloth, changed in cc3 to real beard.
Sent back to iClone and all expressions have no function anymore, do not work as before, are even locked.
Can't use expression sliders anymore, all locked, without function.
Only solution is to collect clip, save expression (only), delete expression, re-apply.
Besides that the Look at Weight is also not correct anymore...
What could cause this??

Thus far I am aware of 2 issues/bugs while transferring character back and force between IC and CC.
Spring state and Look At weight are getting reset. Be ready to reapply.

Regarding expressions track, it always preserved for me and I never had problem with locked sliders.
In your case however you applied a beard, which normally pops up a message about resetting expression to default.
And although I had such a scenario in the past and all went smooth with expressions, I suspect it's a glitch of some sort unique to your project.
You could have rolled back with undo and tried to investigate further, otherwise collect clip and reapply was the only option I suppose.

Thanx for input, Gurgen, much appreciated...
I did an undo yesterday, tested both variants, no and yes on "reset expression to default",
but that made no difference...
Also never seen this before and it seems to be unique to the way client sets up character,
as I had the issue with two different characters in different iProjects, both cloth to beard/moustache...
Have no time to delve deeper into this but the workaround to collect clip, save "expressions only" before conversions
and reapply after character swap seems to work.
Would have been good if the Look at Weight was definable decimal, not visually set slider as seen,
but that is not a big drama...
Thanx!

This is quite old issue, I mentioned here on the forum I think to @Lianchiu, no feedback on it, so here's my approach on this:
- I'm starting from IC project, sending the avatar to CC
- doing iC-CC back-forth until the avatar looks as much as I want (including applying straight to CC pose/expresssion I need to adjust)
- close the IC project (with no changes!) and creating a new one
- from CC I'm sending the avatar to IC, adjusting springs ON/OFF (values are kept but ON/OFF were set to OFF by CC) then saving it in IC Custom Avatar tab
- open the initial project, select the character and let it play a bit until a scene where look-at is very visible
- double click the custom character to replace the project one
- IF the look-at is lost, do UNDO, then apply again (do this until look-at is kept)
What is NOT kept are transition leghts on Expression clips. For these usually I'm merging/flattening them in one single expression clip before thinking to replace the character.

@ampertox
Thanx for chiming in!
That's an odd way to resolve this, so it definitely is a bug...
As we only want to replace the beards/moustaches,
Rosuckmedia (Robert) mentioned to save the new mustache, delete old one and apply new one.
I think that will be the easiest way for us to handle this...
Thanx!
