I am following YouTube video and the person doing the video says "Import the character into CC3 and save as an iAvatar." They do not even show how to do that. So if anyone knows please let me know you do that.

On a side note if you want to make tutorials please do not short cut, it really does give the impression you do not know what your talking about.

Just in case that's one of my tutorials <g>...

You can't explain EVERYTHING in a tutorial - most tutorials (particularly if they are showing some middle to advanced feature) assume you at least know the fundamentals.  And saving as an iAvatar IS a fundamental - one of the first things you need to learn to use CC.  But the good news is that it's easy - go to the File/Export and choose iAvatar.

Also in the export menu are MANY other things you need to know to know the fundamentals of CC - things like sending the character to iClone, saving as OBJ/FBX, editing in GoZ, etc.  Be sure to learn your fundamentals so you can take advantage of the many more advanced features of CC.

No it was not one of your tutorials, yours are put together very nicely. I wont name who it is, but it was one that was labeled as a beginner tutorial showing the basics of CC3 and this tutorial half way through they bring a character into CC3 and say save it as iAvatar and then they cut the actual part out and just go into other features in the content menus.

I now just pretty much watch your videos cause they not only entertaining but again very well explained and put together. Thank you for taking the time to actually explain things in your video as to why you do this and do that. That is very helpful for us beginners.

Thanks for your kind words.

It's not easy to make a good tutorial and I applaud anyone who at least tries.  I know for sure I've made mistakes in mine I feel bad about.  But I'm sure in the tutorial you are talking about the person was at least doing their best and meant well.

I know the one thing I do make a mistake on is I go too fast at times.  I try and slow down but my natural tendency is to speak rapidly.  To counteract that I try and repeat myself two or three times but even that annoys some people.   But I never mind if you or anyone else gives me feedback about what I'm doing that isn't working for you.  It does help for the next time.
