Wanting to color a VW 3d model olive green metallic like the attached picture. Any ideas how to do this? I'm totally new to iClone obviously. I purchased the model from CG trader and want to change the body color to olive green and an off white.

The first thing that you need to do is to load the model in iClone, go to the Modify tab and have a look at the Base/Diffuse map in the materials section. If you can post a screen shot of the materials then it may be easier for users to assist with suggestions.

You only selected part of the car. You need to select the whole car (its likely a prop with subprops) to show all textures.

To be clear, I'm looking to change the original color of the model I purchased to an olive metallic green similar to the example I posted above. That said, I'm just learning how to import models and attach colors and textures. Thus, the ignorance.

looks to me like they used diffuse colors under material settings
if so, use the eyedropper (under material list) and scroll down to mat settings and change the color and repeat until all are modded

You have a lot of parts to apply textures to. I bought car that had over 150 parts. That took about 5 hours for me from start to finish. There is also a box that says 2 sided. If the box is not checked, you will be missing a lot of parts. It looks like the tires are missing hubcaps. That is where the 2 sided box needs to be checked. As you apply textures or colors, as you go down the list, make sure the 2 sided box is checked. Also, save your project every 20-30 minutes. Because if iClone crashes, at least you will have saved your project, and won't have to start from the beginning. If you cannot finish in one sitting, take a screenshot of the mesh where you left off. That way, when you come back, you have a kind of bookmark where to begin.

As the other mentioned, there could be many textures. This van has a base, but the doors, ceiling, license plates use their own material

I have a hippy van, and to make it Olive Green, I still would have to set the door and other textures.

Olive Green is about as appealing as dog poop brown.

Roger that on. the color. The effect makes it more appealing. Thus, the inquiry because I don't know how to keep it from looking like the van you posted. And maybe will have to use another color in the end.

How about I ask this way? How can I achieve the "linear burn" dark olive green color from this VW van? It would be simpler to start with a simple object to test it out. I was able to pic parts and change the "Diffuse Color". But of course that just gives you the simple color. And obviously looks like pea soup green which is not the intention. Is this even possible?

the metallic and roughness need to be adjusted as in brightness (adjust color_texture settings)
