Trial animation length limit

Hello,
I am just trying the demo/trial version and when I try to export an FBX file the export window reminds me the export amount left for the demo but also tells me that my animation exceeds 20 seconds and will be truncated but the actual length of the animation I am trying to export is just 330 frames which will be about 6 seconds @ 60fps or 13.5 seconds @24fps

So when I open the FBX there's is only 131 frames of animation :ermm::ermm:

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi...

Are you setting a range for export?

If so, try instead going into Project Settings (CTRL+SHIFT+P) and set the "Total Frames" to 330 rather than set a range. Now on the FBX export panel you can choose "All" instead of "Range".

Does this allow you to export correctly?

Thank you,

Yes I have set the range to export and the actual fbx was exported correctly for the total frame range.

But I am still a bit confused about the frame display in I clone :ermm:
I just added a longer audio file just under 20 seconds long but the timeline in iClone is displaying 1218 frames and when I exported a video preview the actual total frames exported was 604 for the total length of the animation

So
that's a bit confusing :Whistling:

Hi...

It's important to remember that the Timeline length and Project length can be two different things. The Timeline for example can be one length while the Project length can be less than the Timeline length (but not more).

The length of the Timeline is set in Project Settings (CTRL+SHIFT+P). This can be anything up to 54,000 frames or 15 minutes (@60fps).

The Project export range is set by the In/Out Markers (see number 14 below).

However, in the case of your particular render question, if you output 1218 frames to video with a frame rate of 30fps then you should get 609 frames (not sure about 604). But if you render @ 60fps you would get the full 1218 frames. Either way will not affect the actual length of the exported video. For example, a one minute export will still be one minute at 30fps or 60fps.

Thank you,
Yes I think I saw somewhere that the frame rate in iClone was @ 60fps but I'm not sure where I saw that because I couldn't find it again :hehe:
