Great! (I do think 30 sec is too short - 1 min would be better, but OK...) BTW, I think that "Exclusive Test Samples" link for download doesn't work.

Cool... As Animatom said, download "Exclusive Test Samples" does not work correct. Downloaded file (.zip 56 MB instead of .zip 1,5 GB) only contains this:

Hi @animatom & @toystorylab, Thanks for reporting!
Yes we noticed that and we are repackaging the file now. Should be finished and released today!
Thanks!

Hi,
How do I install the samples?

Hi there! I have two questions:
1. Does the character need to be original? Or can we recreate a character from an existing source? E.g.- Can we take a character from a 2D animation and transform them into 3D? 2. Can we use the original dialogue (from the 2D animation) and recreate the scene in 3D? And by recreating, I don't mean copying frame by frame.
Please, let me know if this will be an issue. I used to work as a 2D animator, my wish is not to compare the two, but more like play with the freedom 3D softwares allow. But if this sounds unfair for the contest, I will understand.

ljswype (7/6/2021) Hi,
How do I install the samples?
Hi...
You can manually copy the contents into your Character Creator 3 Template folder if you are familiar with the Template folder structure. Alternatively, just unzip the sample file and drag and drop the content onto your character in CC3. You can then optionally save it to your CC3 library from there if you wish.

This is an exciting contest! Seconding gery.hristova's question about using existing characters. I was thinking about using an existing 2D animation character, but creating my own 3D model of them. I wanted to know 1.) if that is allowed and 2.) how pre-existing character designs would be considered for the "Character Design" area of judging.
Another question since lip sync is an important part of this... we can use voice clips in languages other than English?
Thank you for any response!

This has been asked before but I didn't see an answer:
Is the required 3-second logo at the end part of the maximum allowed length (making the actual video only 27 seconds) OR is it in addition to the 30 seconds maximum of the actual video?
I hope it is in addition, because 30 seconds is already quite short to do something in.

Job,
In the first post of this thread is states:
Submission Types
- Anything with 30 seconds of lip sync/ talking animation
So you should be safe adding any titles or credits before and after.

Hi @suryavanshiyash3545,
Apology for the misunderstanding and thanks for pointing this out. I revised the wording and it should be as follow: Entrants may submit up to 3 entries.
The only restriction should be: each person can have up to 3 entries for the contest. So choose wisely for your entry. Hope that clarifies, and any video entry should have equal chances to win our awards! Thank you.

Hi @Charly Rama,
Yes we will judge by the 30 seconds animation, and the opening and closing cuts will not count. (But please keep it short and clean, that will really help when we are on judging stage. Thank you!)

I have 2 questions. 1) Is the video entry title, for the Youtube title , or does that have to be at the beginning of the original entry video itself?
2) Does the iClone Contest Logo at the end have to be a full screen shot, or can it be in the right or left hand corner from 25% -50% of 1920 x 1080?

Are we allowed to use copyrighted material and personalities in our entries? Because a lot of the famous movies scenes, scripts, songs, etc... are copyrighted. I don't want to get in trouble if I use copyrighted material. Are their any guidelines from Reallusion as to what material (copyrighted) we should and shouldn't use? Or any disclaimers. I am not a lawyer. I just don't want somebody to say don't use my likeness, or don't use any material from my movie.

You should use the same video entry title everywhere. So your YouTube title, Forum Subject title and so on.
2) Does the iClone Contest Logo at the end have to be a full screen shot, or can it be in the right or left hand corner from 25% -50% of 1920 x 1080?
The contest log should be full screen for at least three seconds.

YouTube is very hot on copyright so your video may be blocked if it contains copyright music or video. Likenesses are not normally an issue though but don't include any actual video clips from movies or tv shows. Even having a movie scene playing on a television in a scene could cause it to be blocked by YouTube.

@Eric C (RL), shouldn't it be "choose wisely for your "three entries" rather than "entry" since you have said up to 3 can be submitted.
Re: So choose wisely for your entry
Also, about submitting/registering our project, In my video below, it has the first 30 seconds as a WIP and the Reallusion contest banner for more than 3 seconds after but after that I share part of my WIP process, is it fine to submit a video with WIP info and later share a final version that is only 30 seconds plus the banner? do I register now or later? Thanks.

A couple of questions...
Will successful submissions be posted on the competition website at all?
How long should I wait to be notified to see if my submission was successful?
I submitted an entry a week or so ago and haven't heard anything either way. I'm pretty sure I met all the entry requirements in terms of information needing to be posted with the video etc. I wouldn't like to miss out just because of some detail I missed that I wasn't aware of, and could've been corrected in seconds.

@etourist: judging by previous contests you will not get advanced notification. As long as you follow the instructions on the submission form, you should be OK.

Hi @Ascensi,
Yes you are right the maximum entries is 3 per person. I will change the wording right away.
And after viewing your provided video link, I noticed that the first 30 seconds is your entry, and with a few seconds extra with the banner, which is okay. But can you kindly remove the WIP in a separate video, and just attach it in your WIP thread? Because the separated contest entry and WIP will help our judges better when reviewing the entry.
Thanks for the accommodation!

Thanks for the reply. I'm sure I read, when I made my submission, that RL would contact you within 5 days of submitting to let you know if your entry was fine.
I haven't entered an iClone contest before, but with Cartoon Animator Contests they've always posted submissions to the competition website as they've been submitted.

WIP Llink Social Sharing: (Please set as Plublic share) Is that just the link of my WIP on the RL forum? Because that's all I have.

I've been failing to understand something for a few days now. Please someone explain how the naming convention works. I wouldn't like myself, or any participant, to be penalised for failure to understand.
In the first instance we are told to name our videos in a particular way:

Then submission page says we should name in a different way (see point number 3):

These two made sense to me until someone asked an almost similar question to the one I have now, and Peter(RL) responded like this:

How do we use the same title names everywhere, when the rules and submission page say something different? Please help me understand
