I've got some great props for scenes that are PSD and PNG files. For some reason, when I add them to my project, they are grainy, before I add them, they are high resolution and crisp. Anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

Hi...
If you are importing high resolution images there are two settings in Preferences that you need to check.
So open Preferences by going to Edit > Preference on the Menu Bar.
Now switch to "Render" settings and check the "Maximum Image Import Size". This should be set to more than the size of the image you are importing if you don't want the image to be automatically resized down.
The second setting to consider is "Max Real-time Map Size". If you don't want to the prop to look blurry or grainy, make sure this setting matches size of the source image. For example, if you import an image that is 4096 x 4096 and your "Max Real-time Map Size" is set to 512 x 512 the image will look blurry. If your "Max Real-time Map Size" is set to 4096 x 4096 then the prop quality should match the original source image.
Please Note: While it may be tempting to set everything to the maximum settings, please be aware that the higher the setting the bigger impact it will have on performance within CTA4. On a very powerful computer you might be fine but on slower computers you may notice a performance hit if your render settings are too high.
