Hi,
This problem already happened to me twice.
I have saved my project after spending some time working with it. I tried to open it again but it fails to open. It goes to 18% and then jumps to 48% and quits.
Giving the following error:
I can't open the file :-(
Is there a way to fix this?

Is it huge? I had this problem with a file I'd managed to make 4gigs. I posted it to the support people and they sent me a "large file hotfix" which enabled me to open it again (and turn off subdivision on one hair, which was causing the problem)....

Hi.
It's not that huge, it's about 1 GB and I don't know what caused that.
As it was on the early stage I decided to start over. And I will see if that happens again.

When working on a project do be sure to save often and always to a new file. Do not overwrite the existing save. This way if you do encounter a problem you should always have a working copy of the project available to drop back to. Always following this practice will save you from having to start all over again.
