hello i  have a character i created and put a custom dress on her. i transferred skin wieights and checked conformity. it all looks good but when i animate her, even when she's standing still, her legs poke through the bottom of the dress. how do i stop this?

That's normally a collision shapes problem -- read up in the manual and if you still can't figure it out post again and I'll show you a tutorial.

Maybe I am wrong, but I do not think OP has even had physics applied to a dress. And that is the problem to begin with. :)

But always, everyone, post screenshots, so we can easily identify the problem.

As I said, collision shapes.

(Also you might try adjusting the soft versus rigid collision - the default of .01 might need to be at least 1.0 here).

that worked. thank you. although her hips look a bit big at present i can refine and add more collision shapes.

you can also add pose correction morphs to the dress itself in morph creator, or have the dress hide the leg polygons.

You can also conform the dress to make it a little bigger.https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/43076c56-9405-4aa5-8e8c-3b3b.jpg
