a few things

1) is it still the case that the "auto setup for unity" (if you even want to call it that) is only compatible with 2019? in 2021?

2) the tedious process involved, even using the importer is beyond ridiculous.
if i'm wrong , please explain why cause it seems to me that the effort to make cc3 characters exportable to unity was never really put in by reallusion.

3) are there any plans to improve/fix this or is it just accepted as "good enough"?

Hi!
Every Unity user are wondering about it, we are in 2021,  with a couple of LTS, but seems AutoSetup Script works with 2019 or 2018.
I am waiting if finally RL make their Unity approach for real or just we are trhowing money.
I would like to have this working nicely in Unity specially with HDRP versions.
Damn RL. Please Do it :D

At this point, reallusion products are literally just cash grab for Unity users.
There is no official support on forums, no word for Auto setup no nothing.
I mean people keep saying that RL team is small but there is no huge effort has been requested here. Just making stuff work with latest HDRPs, setting up shaders and all. A week of work perhaps. But no. Who cares...

Super bummed none of my exports are working correctly in Unity.  Seriously the only reason I bought CC3.  $400 in software between CC3 and iClone7.  Can't get a normal looking character into latest Unity, and can't do anything with iClone related to Unity.  Definitely tempted to purchase 3dXchange pipeline for another $400, but without successful imports with the expensive software I already bought, I don't trust the upgrade to fill the gap of functionality.

Not recommending the software at this time.

Hm I bought the whole cc3.4 suite a few weeks ago.
Expecting to be able to use this in either " unreal " or " unity " engines.
I have a project that's in " unity 2020.3.1 " and in production which requires these assets , and am on a deadline too.

—  So am absolutely horrified to read from the forums ,
That the " auto importer " only supports " 2019.3 " which is what we used 2 years ago.
Can somebody please help with steps needed to export CC3.4 to 2020.x HDRP ?

Reallusion :

Fix the importer or stop selling the product.
This is just bullshit support , sorry had to express it.

I have to agree with the previous posts.  It's really starting to feel as if exporting data into unity
is becoming an afterthought.  Not only are we still on Unity 2019, but some of the new features
don't export to Unity either, like the talking styles.

I convinced my current employer to invest in Reallusion as the base of our Unity character and
animation pipeline and I'm starting to have second thoughts atm, especially with a tool like
metahuman integrated inside the game engine.

I'm also bracing myself to reexport our current characters with the new ARKit Morphs.

Wish me luck !
