I'm having problems with the auto-setup plugin for Unreal 4 , For some reason the skeletal mesh of my CC3 model gets imported without skin textures/materials. Has anyone experienced this problem? I'm currently using UE4.26 & Character creator 3.22

I had the same issue, deleting all the cache folder in the project root made it work.
A different issue crept up though: It imports all textures, creates the materials instances but does not link the base color textures anymore which is really annoying.

1. Untick Embed Textures in the CC3 FBX export settings.
2. UE4 FBX import settings / Material :  Create new texture and Import Texture has to be ticked.

That works for me , also with very difficult Cloth Textures :

This was definitely the solution. Thank you.

I'm having a similar problem exporting a DAZ character from CC4 to UE5. The character looks correct in CC4, very similar to DAZ:

Here's what she looks like when exported from CC4 and imported to UE5.  There are so many problems with this, but what I'd really like to understand is why the skin on the head is noticeably different from the body.

I unchecked Embed Textures before exporting from CC4. When importing into UE5, I selected the HQ shader and checked Import Textures and Create New Materials.

I guess I've set some of the parameters wrongly somewhere, but I think I've tried every combination now. Has anyone seen this issue before?

Looks like CC_Setup didn't do its job.
Be sure you installed the latest CC_Setup for UE and be sure the CC_Shader Folder is in your UE/project/content folder.

Thanks Bassline. I'm using the latest version of Auto Setup (1.23) which supports UE5.

I placed /Plugins at the root level of my UE project folder and /CC_Shaders in my project's /Content folder.

I'm working around the issue by applying new skin in CC4 with Skingen. This looks good in UE, but it does change the appearance of the model a little unfortunately.

Maybe it's just a minor bug related to CC4 and UE5 both being so new. If so, hopefully it will be fixed soon anyway.

I had the same problem yesterday with an older project (CC_Setup does nothing when importing) , I started a fresh one and it worked.
