Hi all!
So I just found artcore this week and Im really excited to use these animations and save myself tons of time and headaches. I am C4D user though and haven't had any luck finding tutorial on how to use these animation within c4d to rig my characters using R23 character definition and solver. I tried extracting skeleton and mapping parts to the proper category and im getting weird issues when applying the skeleton rig to my character and does not perform full animation. Any tips or help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi yucknasty209,

we don't currently have an official tutorial for C4D yet,
please try mapping to the main bones and ignore the twist bones.

I too would like some help using ActorCore models and motion in C4D! Any sign of a tutorial?

EDIT: It's a piece of cake. Open the Actor .fbx  and the motion .fbx you want, and cut/paste them both into the same scene. Add a Retarget tag to the model, drag the motion BoneRoot into the 'Source' slot, and drag the Actor's BoneRoot into the 'Target' slot. Done!

Hey sjarratt, have you had any success adding the mixamo rig (or any other rig I guess) to the iClone Character in C4D so you can make modifications to the motion inside C4D?
Thx!

Hi, sorry no, I'm just fiddling with ActoreCore stuff at the moment. You should head to a C4D forum...

Thanks for the reply.

No worries, while not being exactly what I was looking for this video is a HUGE HELP in telling you how to achieve the same result by easily modifying the mocap in iClone characters once they're in C4D. https://youtu.be/gu-sYzoH2tQ
