Hello Everyone,
I am new to Cartoon Animator and have spent the last two weeks diving head first into this amazing animation. I am a school teacher and the reason for learning animation, is to have another tool for teaching. I purchased Buddy's World Pack to build the school scenes and have teacher characters and student characters interacting. As I am learning this animation, I can figure out almost all issues that I may have. But, I have only learned 1% (in my head) about animation. There is a scene in this video (link below) from Garry Pye using Buddy's World. In the school room scene, you have a character raising his hand as he is facing away from the screen (towards the back of the room). The scene is 12 seconds into the video. My question for you all, is how do I recreate this (raising his/her hand for the teacher)? There is a an animation for raising hand in Buddy's World, but its for a character that is forward facing, not backwards facing. I need to design and animate the character for backward raising hand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOXX83ISP5M&list=PLglPbJHFYU73zS-N3F1hbQ565xsihkprw&index=4&t=30s
Thank you, Angelica
I look forward to hearing from yall!!

Also, when I add the "Raising Hand" animtion, character is forward facing, and I change the direction in which the character is facing, I lose the animation. It only works in forward facing.

The "Buddy's World" characters are G2 (2.5D) characters and can rotate 360 degrees and can use 3D motions. The only "Raise Hands" motion I found is for G3 Elastic-Folks (2D) characters which only face in one direction and can not be used on a G2 character. When using the G2 Buddy's World characters you should use 3D motions or the 3D Motion Key Editor. You can use the 2D Motion Key Editor with a G2 character but can't rotate the character after applying the 2D motion without mucking up the motion whereas if you used the 3D Motion Key Editor you can rotate the G2 character and the applied motion will also rotate with the character.
Hope that helps. Jeff
