I am using an external microphone ( Shure SM58) as you can see it is being detected by iclone. There was no signal being recorded. However if I try to record audio via the Record Voice option under Create Script it does record and playback the audio.
I even made sure that the Global settings on the timeline for audio were set up correctly.
So then I tried switching microphones. With my second mic I do get a signal as you can see in the timeline but there is no sound at all when I try playing it back. I tried changing the output source. It made no difference whether I chose the speakers connected via the computer's audio jack or the headphones connected to my Xtone audio interface.
So then I tried my webcam. That worked great as far as recording a signal that you can play back but the audio quality is absolutely horrible and unuseable.
So it seems the problem is mainly due to using an audio interface to connect a microphone to the computer. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem? Any good quality microphone is going to require using an audio interface. This just doesn't make any sense. For every other program I tried to use with the mic hooked up to the audio interface everything worked great without my having to set up try to adust anything.
