Will there be any partnership here to bring in these characters into the next version of iclone or character creator?

It is a good news for us. With or without collaboration Character Creator must improve to catch up or it will slowly Die

I'm not interested in working within Unreal, and that goes for others as well. Also, Epic has a much larger research budget, so one has to be realistic. Finally, the end of RL has been predicted many times and they are still here.

lol ya,  i remember when unity first started doing movies ...that was like apocalypse 2.0 for iclone,  the new blender with real time rendering was end of the world 3.0, anytime anyone made something new and cutting edge,  iclone was slated to die heh!!   if anything I wouldn't be surprised if that metahuman is actually a collab with RL developers and UE. A cloud version of cc, it had a familiar style to it.

I am not at all surprised to see Epic develop their own high
quality Character eco-system , good for them.
This new metahuman system looks great for existing UE4 users
who ony used prefabbed content from third parties.
I tried UE4 last summer, and as a Content creator,Character animator and Visual effect artist,
I personally will never adandon my full fledged 3DCC(BLender)
for a game engine, as it just adds one more ,time consuming, level of complexity
to my pipeline.and offers nothing I cannot already do in Blender with the EEVEE /Cycles engine
I need proper internal modeling/sculpting tools that game engines do not have.
the characters themselves are just a small part of my sci fi narratives
I need entire civilizations, built to my specifications .
I created everything in the video below
except the CC3 base Characters under that custom armor.

That's a pretty bold statement considering MetaHuman isn't even out and you haven't tried creating a character yet. Maybe MetaHuman will need to do the catching up. :Whistling:

I would be vey happy if this statement means that CC 3.4 would have major improvements in quality.

Nah, Metahuman will most likely be a unreal only thing! And there is a huge market outside of unreal. But even for unreal, CC might still be a good solution. I assume desktop applications are more flexible when it comes to custom content and CC can create a lot of new functionality AS well (e.g., wings, bionic extensions, monster deformations, etc.).

If Unreal arent forcing their metahuman users to need the mass distribution rights certificate for their generated content i could see that being a massive advantage.

Some of the guys on the MODO forum slammed Reallusion a bit, one even said the models were terrible.

They haven't got a clue. What we have with CC3 is amazing, and I personally love what we have with this toolset.

Sadly,  if you do a search on youtube for modo videos,  you will not find anything entertaining,  just a plethora of videos of how to make a better model and a speed render of them modeling it.  the unreal crowd is looking for the perfect real time render.   these are niche audiences that think the video below would have gotten billions of more views and would have not only been nominated for an oscar,  it would have won if they only gotten the perfect edgeloops in a real time ray tracing renderer that had realistic facial expressions.
Let them be and pray for them.
