I converted this free 3D grass from CGTrader created by shadedancer619. It came without textures, so I applied a free green to brown gradient from google images.
I used Free 3D grass rectangle created by printable_models and applied a dirt and muddy terrain for the grass to set on. I attached several squares of grass together and attached them to the muddy dirt.
And you have a very realistic grass, not PBR diffuse, but it actually has height and depth.
