Hello, while testing IClone 7 with the PopcornFX and Unreal Live Link Plugin, it seemed that transferring IClone particles from my scene to Unreal Engine 4 is not possible. Is there any way to use IClone particles, like from the PopcornFX Library 40, in UE4 animations and cutscenes? If not, the PopcornFX plugin and a big part of IClone 7 would not be of any use to me.

They are just incompatible. As far as i know Only characters, Props, Lights and Camera can be transferred. Popcorn FX does not use Niagara

Thank you for the response. I guess I'll have make animations in iclone and add the particles afterwards in ue4, which is a big detour...A pity since the plugin pack seemed very helpful.

Hi islek.lukas24,

We will suggest you making animations done in iClone and have your VFX done in Unreal.
Thanks for raising this question up and I am sure many user has the same question as you.

I'd also like to recommend some iClone Python Scripts for you, as some are very helpful in animation editing in iClone.

*Just note that some plugins may not also be compatible with Unreal. If there's any specific plugin that you want to ask, you can reply or pm me for answers, thanks!

@Eric It would be nice if there is a tutorial how to do the VFX in Unreal after using Livelink

I see. As told by oisilener1982, it would be a very good tutorial, if the channel were to show how to add those particles in ue4 animations and scenes afterwards. I am sure there is a lot of demand for that.
