Hi ,
I have often this problem when trying to convert to non-standard character...

You can download the creature with this link:

Thank you

I think you solved it yourself. Set the forward offset to zero as you were doing, and then check the Active box.

Thank you Rampa but I tried it and didn't fix it.
I reupload the creature in Iclone format :

I'm afraid there is not much you can do, because in 3DX the problem already starts from the beginning:

But nonetheless, thanx for bliss!

It'd be nice if you also provide .3DXprofile file for the last fbx, so we do not have to guess bones all over :)

Oups! Sorry. Here it is :

OK, I fixed him a bit in Blender (removed double vertices which were causing problem and scaled that little calf bone). You may need to reapply texture as I think it's linked from my computer.

But ideally the feet mesh should be joint with legs and better weight painted so that there is no jagged border in between them.

Will this be put out in the market place? If you put it out, I want to appreciate it.

Wow! Thank you 4u2ges. It works perfectly. unfortunately it is too advanced for me what you explain.
I should see a tutorial because I have this kind of problem very often, I use a lot of creatures with non-human postures.
if you have a little time to show it even without audio it would be cool  :D

@matenn30

I'm not allowed to sell this item because there are models I created in a game but I can show you how to do it with models with non issue as I showed above this thread.
I think there's no problem for non commercial use.
By 4u2ges - 6 Years Ago
Oh well, not sure if that would make sense. I did scale and position bones intuitively for the most parts :)
You can play with it to see if you get similar or better outcome.

Note1: Import to Blender a model from 3DX > iClone prop > fbx (as I have shown in the video)
That game engine creates a terrible rig. When imported to Blender directly, there is too much work to fix it.
3DX > iClone effectively normalize the rig.

Note2: When exporting from Blender to FBX, you may want to uncheck "Add Leaf Bones" in FBX  Export settings > Armature.
It is not critical, but it provides a *cleaner* output rig. In the video I did not do that.

I would be great if there was a new Spore-like 3D application that was as easy to use! :) Just be careful how you construct your creatures, and you may be able to get those joints better.

Cooool!!! Thank you very much 4u2ges. I'll try this week-end.

@Rampa

Yes lot of time the root bone is not joint to the hip that is required for non-standard character. I found a strange-easy way to fix it in cinema4D
because I didn't find in blender. it will be part of the demo that I will do.

@mtakerkart , these Characters are amazing , great work !!

@4u2ges  thx so much  , you are Mr. Blender ;)

@mtakerkart,

I don't know if this is helpful but I located a bone on the left ankle that is out of alignment as compared to the same bone on the right ankle, most likely a Blender fix.

Thank you Snarp Farkle.
yes it must certainly have an influence. But I have not so advanced skills to reorient a bone without moving the vertices...
