Using both Iclone and CT together

I want to know exactly how someone would use CT to make their characters talk if it they are part of an iclone movie. Do I build an iclone movie, then bring it into CT and make it lip sync? Or do I have to export an image (via Iclone) into CT and export that as an avi file. I looked at one tutorial, but I am still a little unclear as to what I can do and not do.
Any enlightening would be much appreciated!!

When in iClone select 'Animation' - 'facial animation' then click on the modify tab and you'll see an icon to launch crazy talk.

Do the biz in CT then apply / update script to character in iClone.
