Reallusion's current motion capture features are buggy and limited.


When showcasing the new RTX 3080, NVIDIA recently announced a new software feature called AI Pose Estimator that creates mocap data from any webcam!

Reallusion: get on the bandwagon now! Mocap with iclone must be made easy with AI.

Yeah, not impressed with any "AI" mocap (look at the one done by RADICAL -- feet sliding all over the place).

Nothing beats hardware like the PN suit.

Could you be more specific? Based on what experience?

The only RL Mocap solution is Kinect, which they have wisely abandoned, because Kinect is longer supported by Microsoft.

Everything else is third-party: RL only provides an interface to bring it all together.

I would not want RL to devote any effort on Mocap solutions, especially "bandwagons". There are enough companies out there that try. Let them fail and see what sticks.
