I read on another post (can't find it now) that Live Face for iClone was only an Apple App because of TrueDepth for Apple, and that Reallusion would release an android app when they had that technology.  Samsung now produces phones with DepthVision, the same technology as Apple -- just branded differently, so I'm wondering if there is a plan/ETA for such an app?  I would be in the market for that.  $1000 for some of the other android apps with face tracking is a bit too much.

I don't believe that RL ever promised anything to that effect.

From what I understand, the iPhone also takes care of the facial recognition part, so if that is covered by the Android version than there may be a possibility.

I own Samsung note 9...android has same possibilities as iPhone in this level of pric eof mobile. So my question for Reallusion is same...where is app for Android mobiles?

Checkout the new Face Mocap app for android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mx.motion.ar.facemocap
It is pretty quick and precise on all of android mobiles, you do not need expensive iPhone/iPad

Unfortunately it's only some Android phone have the same possibilities as iPhone, the majority of Android phones do not.

With iPhone all iPhone 10/11/12 phones have the required TrueDepth camera. With Android there are many manufacturers of phones with different types of depth cameras. This means that it would likely require many different versions of the plug-in for different makes Android phones. That is a big undertaking.

So while it may happen one day, it isn't quite as simple a development process as you may think.

I am a former Mac OS user who migrated to windows to use Iclone.
Say what you may about Apple's "closed garden"
however it does make it easier to enforce  uniform Standards,
In this case that standard is not just the true depth camera but the ARK kit
development software that All of the major 3DCC's have embraced for making thier face capture plugins.
There is even one for Daz studio/Genesis 8
If there is not a single standard SDK that supports all ( or Most) high end
Android Phones then few people will risk the investment of trying to
pick a winner in a crowded market

If you're able to, do what I do. Forget about liveface for now and purchase faceware. I use my old Huawei P10 android phone with it and it gives pretty decent facial mocap without 'true-depth' and other fancy modern tech stuff
